TRIANTARAKI – breakfast, coffee, drinks & sweets

Coffee, Breakfast, Sweets, Ouzeri & Greek meze

«Tinos and its “Triantaraki” – coffee, sweets, drinks & Greek meze with a view to the Aegean Sea»

Various meze that remind us of the Cyclades, handmade sweets and delicious coffee. All this is the well kept secret of one of the most beautiful villages of Tinos, Triantaros, and one of the most authentic cafe and meze restaurants of the island located at one of the highest points in the village with a view to the Aegean Sea.

And the name thereof “Triantaraki”. It opened in Triantaros in 2017 and since then, the village has been flooded with colors, flavors, happy groups of friends and variety dishes with Greek products. Behind this venture is a father and his daughter who have one more thing in common, their love for the island of Tinos. Inspired from their trips and having fallen in love with this Cycladic island, Yannis and Malvina decided to change their lives and move permanently to Tinos. They renovated the old barber shop of the village adding some retro touches to it and emphasizing the transition from traditional to modern.

Triantaros happily welcomed and adopted Triantaraki and its characteristic colorful steps. When you walk in the cobblestone streets of the village, you will be enchanted by the energy of the place, the coziness of the people, the serenity of the endless blue sea and the friendly mood of the team and the customers.

The space is cozy, the staff is friendly and smiling, and you can enjoy delicious coffee, handmade sweets (chocolate-caramel tart, cheesecake with handmade sour cherry preserve, galaktoboureko, yummy yummy…). If you want to enjoy a tasty and invigorating breakfast, you should definitely try French toasts, leavened bruschetta with avocado mousse and salmon and the amazing kayanas (scrambled eggs with tomato and feta cheese).

In the summer of 2019, in collaboration with chef Vassilis Geogleris, they created a new menu inspired from local Tinian products with great respect for pure ingredients and love for Tinian real flavors. Beetroot salad with yogurt, green apple and nuts, traditional Tinian wild artichoke, mastelo cheese with homemade jam, pastirma kataifi and different versions of peynirli with handmade dough are only a few of the dishes that the team recommends.

You can accompany the handmade meze with a drink choosing from a great variety of wines and beers, and perhaps seize the opportunity to try some beers from Greek small breweries from the Cyclades or, of course, with ouzo from one of the innumerable distilleries from all over Greece.

Triantaraki and its team will welcome you and will create an incredibly pleasant atmosphere so that you can enjoy yourselves and combine Mediterranean flavors, delicious coffee and drinks with a magnificent view to the Aegean Sea. It should be noted that there is a playground exactly opposite the cafe which will allow parents to enjoy themselves carefree while our younger friends will be playing.

Tip: During the summer high season, we advise you to make a reservation because Triantaraki is full of life and customers! During the winter, Malvina and Yannis keep us warm by lighting up the wood-burning stove and serving rakomelo (raki with honey) on Fridays and on weekends.
